Explanation of the torque calibration of the constant-torque Gieseler plastometer standard
Pulley radius: 25.4mm;
Torque calculation: based onthe torque requirement (101.6±5.1) g/cm or (0.00996±0.0005) N/M specified in "Determination of plastic properties of coal by constant-torque Gieseler plastometer method GB/T 25213-2010"
Torque calculation formula: torque = force × moment arm;
This equipment is equipped with 3 precision weights: 38g, 40g, and 42g.
Gravity calculation formula: weight (kg) × gravity coefficient (9.8)
40gThe gravity of the weight is 0.04(kg) × 9.8 = 0.392N;
The pulley radius is the moment arm for torque, and the pulley radius is 25.4mm
So torque = 0.392 (N) × 0.0254 (m) = 0.0099568 (N/M) ≈ 0.00996 N/M.
The ±0.0005 N/M is calculated from the difference between the 38g and 42g weights and the 40g weight.
2Torque from the weight difference = 0.002 × 9.8 × 0.0254 = 0.00049784 (N/M) ≈ 0.0005 N/M;
As for the indicator (101.6±5.1) g/cm, g/cm is a simplified unit for torque, obtained by removing the gravity coefficient and converting the unit to facilitate unit conversion.
The calculation process is as follows:
40g(weight) × 9.8 (gravity coefficient) × 2.54cm (moment arm) = 995.68
And because the unit is g/cm, not an expression of force, the gravity coefficient must be removed.
995.68÷ 9.8 = 101.6 g/cm; it can be simply understood as weight × moment arm;
As for ±5.1 g/cm, similarly, it is the weight difference of 2g
2× 2.54 = 5.08 g/cm ≈ 5.1 g/cm
