Common failures of the calorimeter include the following points:
1. Deviations in Calorimeter Results
Main causes: 1. Temperature changes in the environment lead to changes in heat capacity, and we did not calibrate the calorimeter's heat capacity in time.
2. Inadequate maintenance leads to water shortage in the outer jacket, oxygen bomb leakage, and inconsistent water injection volume.
3. System failures: uneven stirring, insensitive temperature probe, water leakage in the hollow cylinder.
4. Human factors: abnormal input of total moisture and analytical moisture; these two indicators are difficult to measure accurately, causing distortion of high and low calorific values.
5. Coal sample splashing easily when igniting: can be wrapped in a pellet or lens paper.
2. Calorimeter Ignition Failure
Main causes: 1. Ignition circuit is not smooth: including blown fuse in the ignition protection tube, poor contact between ignition wire and electrode, burned ignition relay, rusted contact between transformer 24V and outer jacket, rusted and open circuit of the ignition screw on the inner cylinder top cover, rusted triangular support of the inner cylinder oxygen bomb, and short circuit of the oxygen bomb.
2. Stirring failure: the stirring electrode of the calorimeter is damaged, preventing the probe from detecting the temperature rise during ignition in time.
3. Coal sample calorific value is too low: the temperature rise does not reach 0.5°C within 30 seconds, and the calorimeter automatically determines ignition failure.
4. The probe and temperature module are damaged, causing calorimeter ignition failure.
3. Calorimeter Oxygen Bomb Cannot Be Opened
Main causes: 1. The exhaust gas inside the oxygen bomb has not been fully released. Try to release the gas completely and then attempt to open it.
2. The force applied when installing the oxygen bomb cover is too great. You can wrap the oxygen bomb with rubber and place it in a vise for disassembly.
4. Oxygen Bomb and Oxygen Filling Device Leakage
Main causes: Both the oxygen bomb and the oxygen filling device of the calorimeter are oxygen-using testing equipment. They use rubber sealing rings to seal the gas path. After long-term use, these sealing rings oxidize and become damaged; replacement is sufficient.
5. Calorimeter Communication Error (Software Cannot Be Opened)
